I Know That

This is not a reverse poem,

So you can’t tell me that

I am capable of making one.

Reverse poems are hard, but

I try and try and

Will mess up every time.

Don’t say I

Am competent,

Because I

Am a failure.

Sometimes it is incorrect that I

Am a student who gets As on her poems

But I can be, no, I

Am a student who does her homework on time.

It is not always that I

Feel very credentialed. Hey

In the regard of writing poetry, I

Feel less so.

When I write poetry, I

Well,

I feel inadequate.
